Hairdresser 'rulings' make a mockery of social distance messaging

Totally agree, if you a meant to be staying at home, why do you need to attend a hairdresser? Surely people aren't that vain at a time like this?

Re: Hairdresser 'rulings' make a mockery of social distance messaging

I've been cutting my own hair for years.

Once I worked out how to wield a set of clippers and hold a hand mirror steady so I could see the back of my head, I never looked back... So to speak, ha ha...

I can't imagine anything that would be nearly as excruciating as sitting in a chair and making small talk with someone, and paying them for the privilege of doing something that I can do myself.

🙂

I found out a few years ago that my hair doesn't grow longer than 2 inches below my shoulder. I can live with that, so I haven't had a haircut in 5 years.

Re: Hairdresser 'rulings' make a mockery of social distance messaging

Takes me a good hour to cut and file my nails. Just had my toe nails done before lock down and painted. Funny cant stand people touching my finger nails, I hate it when people ask are they real and touch them. My nails are thick and white like my mothers. Mum taught me to look after them, only file them one way towards the centre and don't use a metal file. I go through 3 emery broad each time I do my nails. I have run out of them and will need more or I will not be able even to pick up a piece of paper. I cut my own fringe and the back of my hair in the mirror, as long as it is clean I do not worry to much these days, I wash it every day. Hair dressers here in NZ have all been shut down, Aus is being to slow and will pay for it. NZ now has 258 cases mainly travellers and silly people having parties. Sorry about the novel LOL

Well - I'm amused no end - there's something to be said for self isolation.

I was given one of these a couple of weeks ago - it sits like Darth Vader at the end of the bed. lol
