Yeah, me too. 🙂 I saw these guys perform once. I had a front row seat and my feet resting on the wall of the stage.

I couldn't play the guitar for toffee but I spent years playing the piano.  Arthritis means the most I can manage is chopsticks.  All the harder stuff I used to know would be impossible.

But....if I was able to play the guitar, I'd like to play like Hank Marvin or Tommy Emmanuel.

Hank Marvin and Tommy Emmanual - two very different players.

I have everything Hank Marvin did until recently. I think he is doing Django style now - haven't heard any of that.

Love Gibsons.  Hubby had a 1969 rosewood Gibson.

Swapped it for a modern Fender Strat copy!!

I cried  -  a lot!!

Didn't complain when he invested in a Maton though

The guy who lives behind me, has a Maton and a Cole Clarke and some really nice 80's valve amps.

I had a '63 Fender Stratocaster -  sold it for $220 - worth $20,000 now of course, but you don't know it at the time. It was back in 70s when Les Paul's were all the rage.

I have a Profile Silhouette now - bought it 25 years ago. I recently put Tonerider pickups in it - I love it - everyone says it sounds BETTER than an American Stratocaster. It must be my excellent playing - lol.

I haven't picked it up for 6 months - fingers are really sore and bent.

I also bought a Les Paul Studio about 12 months ago - like the one in the first link I posted - only white.

Why am I writing all this? Who knows? Maybe someone will know what I'm on about.
