Happy New Year!

Once again I fell asleep but got up just in time to watch the firworks and see in the new year from an upstairs window. Didn't even pop the champagne I'd been saving.

We were going down to the watch the fireworks over Hansom Gransom fell asleep on the lounge and I couldn't face the walk down to the point, the crowds, and the climb back up the hill by myself.

I might watch it later on the telly, apparently they had a drone over the harbour:

"For the first time in Sydney, drones flew up to 1,000 feet above Sydney Harbour during the New Year's Eve fireworks displays."

https://au.news.yahoo.com/nsw/a/25881436/new-years-eve-drones-capture-sydney-fireworks-for-first-tim...

To be honest, I'm a bit fireworked out.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how the new year progresses, I think we can be sure there'll be a lot happening.

Wishing everbody here, posters and lurkers, zero ID's and new ID's all, the traditional Happiness, Health and Prosperity.

Many of Bondi’s preened pooches, and their equally well groomed owners, were walking along the beach as they would on any given Saturday morning.

Not good investigative journalism within the article; it is a bit "dicey", IcySmiley LOL

Firstly, I see bottle/cans of alcohol on the sand.  What happened to the bag searches?

Dogs aren't allowed on Bondi Beach and most other beaches.

Why would someone compare today with any given Saturday morning.  It's Friday.

I didn't actually write the article myself, Deb.

My apologies for any inaccuracies and inconsistencies, though. Must be the casual staff's fault.

I'm honoured you even bothered to click through and read the article though.

Thank you.

I didn't mean to imply that you wrote it, Icy.Smiley Happy

And I read most items put up, so that I may comment upon and discuss  the given subject.  And.........

I'm seeking anything to read today hereabouts - and my Farewell to Arms tome is about to be completed as I head for  my nana nap.
