Has Community Spirit lost its Community Spirit?
Certainly feels a different place to me

I would agree with vintage. Who says CS had any community spirit to lose?

I am not sure it has been lost but it definitely had some... think of all the posters who have been given some of that spirit in times of trouble, sickness, devastation?

Sure Az, you are correct, but I remember a lot of those threads going pear shaped, they have always been tenuous at best!.... But hey!!!..... Call me a cynic!:)

they go pear shaped after the event...... usually caused by ill considered comments made by non community spirited beings.;-)

Why does the poll add up to 101%?
When it reaches 110% you'll have your Community spirit back.
haha Liz that's the US way of counting that's why they are in so much trouble with their finances
Not to worry....your turn is coming!

Too true!... Well meaning members are always appreciated but the "community" doesn't quite work.

How much time did you spend on here to work that out?
What's it to you? Is there some reason why you think I should have to explain my posts to you? I don't even know who you are.

'community spirit' means different things to different people.
Perhaps it isnt the best choice of names for an ebay board thats meant for none ebay related topics.
But my interpretation of community spirit is pretty similar to Az's. People posting helpful advice and sharing information not expecting payment or anything in return to other members in need.

Trish, my post to hawk was more in reference to personal information exchanged with boardies off the board. You gave out a lot of personal information here and you were given a hard time because of some of it. I think you have to be prepared for that if you post stuff here. I don't think you deserved most of what you copped but you still post a lot of personal stuff so I guess you weren't too affected by the repercussions. Congratulations on your marriage btw.

Mlor I think for it to have any effect on someone they have to care what the person is to them.
I no difference to some wolly on the street you done know yelling stuff at you, they are nothing to you so it has zero effect
