Has anyone had breast implants done in Adelaide?

Hi, my 22 yr old daughter is looking at getting implants done.  Sadly she has never developed hardly at all.  I dont blame her looking into this but concerned if its safe etc.  She is a uni student to cant afford too much.  Can anyone tell me what dr they had and how much it cost?

your daughters story and mine are so much alike its incredible

a decent suegeon will not give her a breast that is out of her body shape or frame size. A good surgeon and no one would know if you had implants or not

i will message you with my surgeon recommendation

my first  implant gave me a 10B, clrarly notover the top for my small frame. The second set were biggere as I had the space available, but they arent 'huge'

I don't think there are that many people posting on here that come from Adelaide or SA,  you might not get any replies to the question 'anyone from Adelaide has any implants done?' ( and suggestions for surgeons in Adelaide etc). Smiley Happy

I have an opinion as to selecting a doctor.

(Sorry)

Unless it is significantly cheaper to go interstate, is it a good idea? (or if there are no doctors nearby with whom you feel comfortable)

Most operations require follow up consultations, so to travel interstate again will cost more money.

Undoubtedly, a person going through surgery may also want someone close by whilst they are in hospital, are there costs involved in that?

Also, just in case there are some problems (real or imagined) after surgery following discharge, wouldn't it be better to be as close to your doctor as possible?

Does anyone know how the pain and recovery period following this procedure is comparable to the operation to deliver a baby abdominally? (just for my interest)

Some considerations for the financial side of this.

Some health insurances cover elective surgery. If not already in a health fund, most waiting periods are only 12 months for coverage.

In some cases, on a doctor's recommendation that an operation is for the benefit of the persons overall health and well being, it is possible to apply to draw down on your superannuation for medical expenses.

Dr Rod Cooter to be precise.

Daughter No. 4 1/2 was well pleased with the outcome.  Similar scenario to the one you have described.

Best of luck.

If she does go ahead with this she only wants them to look natural even a full A cup she would be happy with.  She has a friend that got it done i dont know why as she was a c cup now she is a double d and the other day looking down at her in the spa i tried not to laugh but looked like blown up balloons floating on the water in this case i think there was no reason at all to get it done and i would be quite angry if my daughter got it done if she even had a full a cup.  Shes not in a rush and happy to wait a couple of years

Some people still dont get it i didnt ask you for your permission or YOUR opinon gosh how rude are people.

I know the risks, like someone else said crossing the road is a risk.  That is WHY we are all looking into this with my daughter.

I was very small when i was younger but i have put on weight and now from a a cup im a d cup but i wasnt as slim as her at her age.  She has no interest having children but.... im hoping she will change her mind which i know she will when the times right.   I have seen a site that you buy this book and they guarantee from diet etc you will develop larger breasts but could be another money making rubbish.

thanks chuc will look into those drs

I know.  Who would have thought that people would proffer their opinions ON A CHAT BOARD.  People can be so rude.

Jason(mother), I am not judging you or your daughter.

I see that your daughter and I just think differently about our bodies. When I was 10 years old, I was flat as a board, and I would literally pound on my chest, and scream that I NEVER wanted them. My mother, sister, and gran were all double

D's, and I thought it looked awful.

I got up to an American C cup while I was nursing, and I was very happy to see them go back to "normal" when I weaned my babies.

In saying that, a friend in college had small implants, and was very happy with them. Another friend recently had them done, and she is thrilled. I'd advise your daughter to go through her nipples. That leaves no scar, and the results are fairly natural looking.

There are some very sexy actresses who are flat chested. Okay, I'll admit that I wish your daughter felt better about her cute little body.

At this point, I understand that your daughter wants a small chest(rather than no chest). I hope she finds a competent doctor, and is happy with the results.

OH MY GOODNESS i asked a simple question if anyone has had implants done in Adelaide not how to parent my child!!!

You people have no idea or knowledge of myself (mother) or my child.  Myself im not a big fan of plastic surgery at all.  WE ARE NOT INTO IMAGE.   If you KNEW my daughter you would know she is very very health concience and not into taking drugs or surgery.  She has thought about this for a long time and doing her research Hence.... this thread.  She has no breasts AT ALL she looks like she is a 12 yr old girl just starting with tiny breast buds.  I DONT AGREE with breast implants for ladies to go bigger and let their boobs hang out to look sexy.  She only wants to get tiny ones to fill an A cup.  She has tried bras with fillings and NO psychologist will make her feel more like a woman what a joke.  My daughter is actually studying to be a psychologist so what a stupid saying.  Her DOCTOR agrees her case is NOT cosmetic and was trying to get her on a free list but they are not doing that anymore.

.................................................................................

If your daughter is studying behavioural psychology, was this exercise of asking a basic question and getting multiple types of responses a research assignment for that course?

What sort of DOCTOR agreed her case is NOT cosmetic?  If it's not cosmetic, is it for psychological reasons?

If the information you required is what doctors, and how much; why doesn't SHE ring around the medical centres and ask??  Was there no referral from HER DOCTOR to a surgeon?

You write WE ARE NOT INTO IMAGE.  Definition: "not for the public".  Yet you have made it public.

Someone has already given you the info you required, now.  Do they get a 'finders fee'?
