Hi, my 22 yr old daughter is looking at getting implants done. Sadly she has never developed hardly at all. I dont blame her looking into this but concerned if its safe etc. She is a uni student to cant afford too much. Can anyone tell me what dr they had and how much it cost?

Necessary for what?
Crossing the road, driving a car or talking to strangers all have potential to be dangerous, but sometimes it is worth the risk.

"They" did not mention anyone's skills. You are reading too much into general comments.

Some of the rare but possible side effects from general anaesthetic include:
- Injury at the injection site
- Infection
- Breathing problems
- Short term damage to nerves
- Allergic reaction, for example, asthma attack
- Having sensation (and pain) during the operation
- Damage to the mouth, teeth, lips or tongue
- Damage to vocal cords or larynx
- Lung damage
- Heart attack
- Brain damage
- Stroke
- Kidney failure
- Liver failure
- Paraplegia
- Quadriplegia.

I am sure that the doctors will advise of these and they will be taken into consideration.
Have you considered what the side effects of low self esteem may be?
Have you considered what the side effects of whatever it is creating the desire for this procedure to be?
A comment was once made about training staff and all the costs involved. Someone asked, why spend money on training an employee if they are only going to leave and then someone else gets the benefit of their newly aquired skills. The response was along the lines of, what would happen if you don't train them and they stay.
Transpose that to other situations.
Without knowing why this girl has the desire for this operation it is difficult to determine whether the risks for not having the operation are worth it. At this point, only the parents and the girl can determine that.

I agree with your comments. But in my opinion, this surgery only emphasises low self-esteem. Self esteem comes from within, not from what we look like, and there are much better and easier ways to help with that.
Sorry if my comments made you angry, but I do have some knowledge about this subject.
And if my comments upset the parents, I am sorry, it was not intended, and hopefully everyone's comments will help them to think through this.

OP, please get your daughter to seriously consider the ramifications of getting implants.
Unfortunately I am a naturally large chested woman, and I hate it. If I could afford a breast reduction I would do it in a heart beat. I am so sick of carrying around this extra weight, men talk to my chest, not me. I have to pay over $50 for a bra. I wish I could walk into a Kmart and buy one. Exercise and running are painful, not to mention the back and shoulder problems.

My aunt had HUGE breasts, She had a terrible time with chafing, and bra straps digging in to her shoulder and back problems, and finding clothes to fit. She had a reduction done.
I was always small breasted. Didn't bother me. In the last few years with weight gain I have also grown in the chest area, and it's not nice at all. They bounce and hurt when you run (not that I run, if I did I probably wouldn't have the weight gain) bras are hot, and something I didn't expect was the proportionate growth of the nipple. ick. they are huge and ugly, .My partner isn't that keen on them either, any more than a handful etc.
However, the op never said the girl wanted to look like dolly parton. I have two work colleagues with implants. One done for vanity and they aren't that pretty. They aren't overly large, but they are sort of in yer face. One done for cosmetic reasons (breast feeding left her with long empty saggy bits of skin) She only had small implants done, and they look great. The scarring is minimal too. Whoever the surgeon was, he did a really good job. I've seen some horror scars, but this ladies are barely noticeable. They are still obviously implants, but I don't think you can get away from that.

I don't see surgery as an answer to what ails us, UNLESS it is necessary.
Maybe that's just me.

OH MY GOODNESS i asked a simple question if anyone has had implants done in Adelaide not how to parent my child!!!
You people have no idea or knowledge of myself (mother) or my child. Myself im not a big fan of plastic surgery at all. WE ARE NOT INTO IMAGE. If you KNEW my daughter you would know she is very very health concience and not into taking drugs or surgery. She has thought about this for a long time and doing her research Hence.... this thread. She has no breasts AT ALL she looks like she is a 12 yr old girl just starting with tiny breast buds. I DONT AGREE with breast implants for ladies to go bigger and let their boobs hang out to look sexy. She only wants to get tiny ones to fill an A cup. She has tried bras with fillings and NO psychologist will make her feel more like a woman what a joke. My daughter is actually studying to be a psychologist so what a stupid saying. Her DOCTOR agrees her case is NOT cosmetic and was trying to get her on a free list but they are not doing that anymore.
NO she is NOT getting us parents to pay for them she has worked hard and has 6 grand in the bank after paying for her own car and going overseas. Her father does know she wants this done and hence why we are now starting to research. Im sure all you people that judge i would love to see you with no breasts AT ALL how you would feel. I cant believe how cruel and judgeful people are on here.
Now i have smacked down rude judgeful people on here AGAIN my ??? has anyone had implants done in Adelaide, what drs how much etc NO MORE opinions please!!!
