Good to hear from you Crosby, I hope that your street doesnt get any flooding and everything will be okay.
Glad that Rachael is back home safe and sound.
All of us on this thread are thinking of you..........stay safe.

Thank goodness you are OK atm Crosby. Hopefully you will not be flooded out this time
I am so pleased that Rachael turned up. Cats are just so infuriating at times. We are having cats & dogs weather here now. Non stop rain for 2 days. I am just hoping the worst is over as it is now heading south towards Newcastle & Sydney
I am not sure when the local rivers peak. I think tomorrow
Stay safe everyone

Hi all
Hey Captain whats happening in your part of the world, hope things are OK

Good afternoon Pam, Judy, Misslinda, Beani, Hawk, Vintage and the Count.:-)
I got through the big wet without any dramas, thanks Hawk. There are a couple of big trees down in the neighbourhood and a fair bit of debris in the river but there was no local flooding, thankfully. Also escaped the power blackout which affected many thousands of people. Seems that Brisbane got off lightly this time around, especially compared to some other parts of the state.
I hope all's well with you

Glad to hear you are OK.
Yer some old carp as always going on here, not much changes.
Had some woman that wasn't paying attention drive through a give way sign on Australia day and T bone me.
Her car has been written off and I find out about mine tomorrow, lucky she had full insurance and her insurance co has accepted full liability, not really fussed if they repair or write it off, its time for a new car anyway.
Things could have been really bad as the speed limit is 80kmh on both roads, we were both hard on the brakes and were down to about 40kmh on impact, glad to be driving nearly 2000kg of car, just some minor soft tissue damage that should recover in a couple of weeks so nothing major.

Wow! That's a heck of a thing to happen on Australia Day (or any day), Hawk. Very glad to hear you're ok - it's scary to think what might have happened.

Its a bad intersection and I always slow down as I go through it, I nearly got hit last month when a guy stopped and started to pull right in front of me, as he had stopped I had a chance to hit the horn and he stopped right in the middle so I missed him.
Has been some really bad accidents on that corner including a few fatalities over the years

Hi Crosby, glad you escaped the worst of the flooding and that you and Rachael are okay.
Glad you were not hurt in the accident, Hawk.
I have had drama's, my Golden Lab X, got out yesterday and didnt come back, DD put out flyers this morning & a lady rang & said her OH picked up dog like mine night she went missing and took her to the local vet.
DD went to vet, but they had sent her to RSPCA, so we went there and there she was, so nearly $200 later, we had her home.
She doesnt seem anxious to go out the front door, since coming home, and it has been really hot here today, so she is in the cool of the A/C, so glad DD put flyers out and someone answered & now I have her home.
Hope you all have a good night:-)

Hawk, I am so pleased you are OK even if your car didn't handle the impact too well. Accidents are always a bit scary. Cars are replaceable...not so much people
Crosby. Thank goodness you survived the recent storms and flooding. We have had such a bad time so far this year with bushfires and flooding
I am so sorry about your dog Pam. $200 is a not a nice price to pay but at least she is OK
Stay well and safe people xxx
