Have you ever sold anything at auction?

Other than a house/car, have you ever sold any item at a non-ebay auction and what was your experience like? Were you satisfied with the results, wish you had sold privately etc.. Would you recommend it?

Agree. Why would you get a friend to bid? You would still not sell your item, you would incur all the charges etc. + it's illegal & stupid. Just set a reserve. The auctioneers will often go 10% either way of the reserve, if the bidding is quiet. Don't forget, the auction houses most likely keep in contact with eachother regarding the stuff that has been & gone ( they will also have it documented ) so please do not try and play silly games with them. It will backfire. These days it's often online also 🙂
