Hello Aussies! It's the crazy Yank here with a rabbit question...

It's this - do you have, anywhere in your country, a monument to the man who released rabbits into Australia?  And, if so, what does it look like, and what does it say???

I've tried to find one, but I've had no luck.

Best wishes,  Bob, the crazed yankee...

Are they really closing the boards or are they just dead?  That's a bit sad.

Re: Hello Aussies! It's the crazy Yank here with a rabbit question...

if you look at the thread your mod created from my post, you'll see what's going on. many boards will disappear,or be"merged",as they say. there are goodbye threads happening on many boards,it's really sad.

it looks like we won't even have a board like this one,in the future, and the help boards, espaecially category specific boards, will die a rapid death, due to merging/deleting.

I found the US boards very confusing.  Categories for every little thing.

Things move very slowly.  I asked a question and never did get an answer.

*sigh.    They just talked over the top of me, like I didn't exist.

My ID maybe?....lol

I think they have actually increased the number of boards in the last few years here and it's pretty unnecessary considering the number of posters.

For instance we used to have one board for ebay help known as Member to Member and also the answer centre. Then they had to split it up into one for buying, one for selling and the answer centre has heaps of different sections.

I can't be bothered bouncing around in all of those boards so I mainly just stick to this one (which is something many are grateful for :D)

Hi SINEATERDOODAH!!!!   It's been a long time  (((Hugs)))   Hi TCM!!   Wow!  This is great!  Here I am, sitting here in my dreary, wet environment in Eugene, Oregon, USA (Yes, it's raining a lot right now, but it always does) and I get to walk about in sunny Australia, talk to GREAT people, and I don't even need a passport!  And look at all the air fares I'm saving!!!

No- me personally, - I'm quite harmless!  Unfortunately, we Americans probably have already taken over Australia!  I've read stories of people driving to far away Alice Springs and finding a McDonald's there, them and several other American fast food brands.

But, thankfully, you've taken over US as well!!  At the Oregon Country Fair one of the favorite instruments is the Didgeree doo.  Wow, I thought!  That's great!  I love the Sound!!  So I bought one!  Unfortunately, there is some technique involved that I didn't know about (and STILL don't know about).   The first time I attempted to "play"  the didgeree doo, standing out front of our house, I was -  my wife came running up, screaming, "My Heavens!  who's someone molesting our Cat?"

Critics!   And our neighbor's dog!  He keeps burrying his head when I play...  Geeesh!!!

We are importing 80% of the rabbit pelts to make Akubras now. We must be doing something right. 🙂

I read that thread about the US boards. Only category specific boards ( no off topic posts). No general discussion board. Only place for off topic posts and for general discussion is in a Group. That is how it looks to be going by the ebay community managers replies to questions.
