Life with cats in this country equates to life with fewer native birds and fewer fluffy little marsupials and many other small native creatures.
Life without cats. I'd like to see that.
Couldn't help myself.

True if the cat owners are not reponsible and allow their cats to roam.
I suppose if we kill off the quolls, snakes, dingoes, butcher birds, foxes, to name a few, we could save a few fluffy little natives and pretty little birds
There are many domestic dogs gone wild because of irresponsible owners. Would you like to see life without dogs too.
Just asking

Good morning Channys_mum xxx
We have just extended our cat enclose to include more "rooms" outside for them now and they love it. They can watch the birds to their heart's content and have a great time "outside" without being outside.
Just wish all cat owners could and would do that, but of course not all can, especially if they are tenants.

I have five cats and a Pomeranian who thinks he is a cat.
I couldn't imagine a life without either.

We know some tenants who have landlords that just can't or won't let them put any kind of cat enclosure around the area Channy, it's really disappointing that that happens but I understand it as well as it's their property.
It's really nice when landlords will let tenants have a cat or two though. I know we would, but then again, we would build a cat enclose for them.

I was lucky here because there was an enclosure. I had to modify a bit, however it works.
Where I lived before had nothing of course.
I went to metal corp, bought gal pipes, joiners and arc mesh. I built a demountable enclosure that incorporated the back patio.
When I leave here, the chances of finding another house with enclosure is pretty low, but that's ok I have my pipes and mesh.
