Hi, from one of your former chat agents

Hi all,

I used to be one of the chat agents for eBay Australia.  Haven't been with eBay for a few years now and just wanted to pop in and say 'Hi'.  I always had a great time chatting with you guys and helping out with problems.  I went under the name 'Eric Ko.', but I doubt any of you remember me.  I still remember a few of you.

Like Beefy59111.  Always good for an interesting chat.  And Kittydownunder.  Loved chatting with you guys, even if I was stuck in an office in Vancouver at 3am you guys made my nights bright.  So, 'Hi' from Canada and here's hoping you all have a great Christmas and a good New Year.

Chat was one of the options for customer support.  Instead of writing in or phoning in (if you were a Power Seller) you could open a chat window to get help.  I got hired for the big PayPal rollout as a mandatory option.  I've been by Lake Erie myself once.  I actually live on the west coast of Canada.  It's a pretty big country 🙂

Ya, the eBay call/chat centre I worked at no longer exists which is where Shane worked out of.  As far as I know there are only 2 left.  One in the Philippeans and one in the US itself.

arr yes the compulsory paypal days, viva the revolution.

I guess ebay hadn't planned on us rebel types taking it that far in the interests of a fair go and freedom of choice.

When Trust & Safety where based in Canada you would get quick results all week and on the weekends and

scammers where shut down quickly,(now scammers list on the weekends as they know T & S don't seem to be

active on weekends).

Now it takes days to get some shut down and others wouldn't get shut down at all,(I have 8 in my watch list that

weren't shut down last week).

It's the same this week as last week where they have worked out that it's better to list in the wrong category as

PP protection isn't available in those categories.

Unfortunately members still believe you can get the scam items at these ridiculously low prices, 141488104893 ,

251732452600 , 251733836577 , 251733833268 ,
