Here it is. another "documentary discussion" to complete the second in the series on this forum.
History of the World in 2 hours- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xogFuUSIOLU
13.7 years before us, to present day. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around this big bang thing though.
Journey of man a genetic odyssey- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dDXIX-y6aY
The investigation of the family history of humankind. Acording to this documentary, we all came from Africa and over a number of years branched out to inhabit the entire earth. Though we may be diffrent in our culture, or apperance, ect. It is all only a result of our environment. We all started as one and expanded from there.
Enjoy the videos

I have just watched interesting program on the SBS; "Eddie Izzard embarks on a unique and epic, personal journey using his own DNA to trace the migration of his ancestors out of Africa and into Europe over the past 142,000 years.
A simple saliva swab and the latest cutting edge DNA science help Eddie explore the secrets of his dadโs family history over the last 10,000 generations, as he traces his ancestral route across 10,000 miles all the way back home to Britain.
Along the way he meets some of his DNA cousins among the Bakola pygmies of Cameroon and in the Middle East discovers how we first had sex with Neanderthals, as he finds out where the male Izzards came from.
And the week before Mum's Line - Actor and comedian Eddie Izzard sets out on an incredible personal quest to follow the route of his ancestors in a 200,000-year migration from Africa to Europe.
Becoming the first human ever to trace his genesโ journey, this spectacular global travelogue starts with a sample of Eddieโs DNA.
Scientists then plot the exact path his distant cousins took.
Itโs an entertaining, unpredictable journey through Namibia, Cameroon and Djibouti in Africa, up into Arabia and onwards, finally arriving in the UK, where his family has been since the 1640s.
Along the way he meets distant relatives, from the San bushmen of the Kalahari to the survivors of Pompeii on this awe-inspiring adventure. "
So we all have distant relatives in some tribe in Africa, and most likely in middle east, and other parts of the world.

I don't get the big bang theory. Supposedly, there was nothing, not even a universe more than 14 billion years ago. How can there be nothing? There has to be something, don't you think? If there was nothing, not even a universe, then how did the bang as it were, come about? Don't there need to be something that sets off that explosion?
I prefer to see the universe as having no beginning or end. In time, or in space, limitless. Isn't that the very definition of universe, everything in existence? That would mean is was there 20, 50, or 200 billion years ago. Sure they may have been some explosion 14 billion years ago, The universe is full of such explosions, or big and small bangs. But none of those bangs big or small created something that has always been.
They say the universe is expanding, Huh?, expanding from what? How can something that already has no beginning or end, expand to get bigger?

You are assuming there is only one universe.

And Siggie you are implying that there is more than one with life? So where is it and how can we see it ?
