I watched several horses who didn't want to go into the starting gates. The noise, the colours, the people and the close confinement can be the problem.
I hope they take more precautions now. Killed???? or died?

I didnt watch it, I dont like watching horse being whipped or mistreated in any way

i think majority would be killed (put down)
due to injuries.

I think the jumps are disgusting and should be banned, so many deaths occur

that was really distressing to watch
and it has changed the way i feel about horse
racing. to me, because of that -
melbourne cup will never be the same.
no more office sweeps for me.
i do hope something good comes out
of it. the poor animal.
i know this happens all the time but
