How about great comebacks?

My mother had a great one, actually a few.

My poor father made the mistake of saying within earshot of my mother that he wished he had a nickle for every diaper he changed.

"Yeah, then you'd have a dime" my mother told him.

Have any dandies?

lol, a few years ago I decided to stop being so agreeable and say no, if that is what I really wanted to say.

Recently my OH said "so how is that working for you?"

I told him "much better than it is for you!!"

I often wonder why some folks feel the need to requote a previous post, simply to add a smiley as a comment.

Re: How about great comebacks?

Wonder no more.

My response ended up being at the top of the next page, so I quoted the person I thought had such a funny post, so people wouldn't possibly have to go back and look.

I wonder why people would give a hoot if someone did that?

Unless you're so A/R that you count posts, you wouldn't have known your post would have turned the page.........

Re: How about great comebacks?

Oh for Pete's sake.

Go back and examine my post yet again.

You'll note I edited to include the poster's contribution once I realized it was just the lol emoticon on the top of the 2nd page.

Anything else Monsieur?

Re: How about great comebacks?

The number of posts on a page isn't a problem for me either.
