Julian Assange, according to the SMH, has announced that he will run for a Senate position. Can he do this while still resident in the UK? If he has to return to Australia to do so, how can he leave the foreign embassy he is in? Does anyone know?

I think in fact he has not been charged with any sex charges. The police on the continent claim they only want to interview him in relation to a claim of this nature. If they can get him to go over there then they can extradite him to USA.
Interesting as if they reallyonly want to interview him they can do so in the embassy.
It would be real interesting to have him in the senate.
As to how he can run for the senate? He has long legs 🙂

Highlight the details in the bar across the top of your page, press Control and C together, then when you are ready to post the link, press Control and V together.
