Why did the UN and the Global Warming religion change from 'Global Warming" to "Climate Change"
After a decade of the earth not warming outside the normal fluctuation the UN was able to be contradicted and shown that Global Warming was not happening.
When the change was made to Climate Change the contradiction was removed because every one KNOWS that the climate changes and always has done.
Now lets see if the UN can demonstrate how humans are having an adverse affect on the climate.

you'd be better off asking iza joz. she can back up what she says. poddy expects people to agree with his musings for some bizarre reason without anything to back them up.

I don't think anyone denies the existence on changing climate, it is the cause of it that is in dispute.
No one to date has described the mechanism that drives the changing climate beside the fact that the earth wobbles on its axis to cause the seasons.
Everyone keeps banging on about how the climate has changed over time. the fact remains the the climate has ALWAYS changed over time.
Some claim that they remember it being different from when they were younger, but personal memory is not a quantifiable commodity or reliable data by ant stretch of the imagination

he may well know what you mean, but what use is it without some backup from reputable climate scientists . no use at all.

to spot who said a few posts back:
"A conspiracy theorist is one who tacitly admits they have insufficient data to prove their point."
..........................................................................................................................................................................................................
So, anyone who states that they are a believer of a said religion, like say, catholicism-are conspiracy theorists?
....just curious!

Another interesting point is how many people believing in "climate change" and support the media hype still drive a car bigger than they need? Replace it every year? Live in a house bigger than needed? Replace things just because they are no longer new? and so the list goes on.
Over consuming, while loved by the economists, is one of the greatest things driving pollution.

Joz that would depend on the severity of the eruption and its location. I leave blanket statements to those who love to make them without having any basis in their formulation.

How convenient
So is it your argument that because something cannot be accurately quatified it therefore cannotbe said to exist?
I think the bests experts in the world would be hard pressed to quantify with pinpoint accuracy the full effects of the Fukushima disaster - but I haven't yet seen anyone denying that it occurred.
If 62% of respondents in a Galaxy poll said Fukushima didn't happen, then it didn't happen 🙂

carbon emissions are very much consumer driven . on the points you raise about consumption i'm completely in agreement. demand is a good place to cut emissions. measures like an ETS have proven that a little more attention to electricity usage (like turning a few things off) can reduce emissions on electricity by reducing demand.
