I had found season ticket stubs at my folks' house from the late 1940s. Sold them on eBay for a good sum. Even had 1 playoff stub that alone went for over $50.00!

my grandparents were from there too.
pepe, mafia from that area, yanno. 🙂
yep i know, so don't mess with us!!!
pepe, my grandfather was a garbage collector after he arrived in America. You've heard about the garbage collectors, right? 🙂
I once asked my mother what her dad did for a living and she said it was none of her business. It's like something out of the Godfather. LOL

You're the first person I've ever heard of who doesn't like pizza. I promise to stop posting gross pictures.
I don't mind a margherita with fresh tomato every now and then.
But it's because of the handling of the different meats
I tend to get a touch of food poisoning from the cured meats.
(I only eat vegetarian pizza, when I do eat them)
And, lol, how will you know what I consider gross.
Thank you for your concern

How do 'Strines pronounce "scone"? I learned with a short "o", rhyming with "don"...........most Americans pronounce it like "own", and American "scowns" are nothing like those I ate in Oz..........
Oz scone.........
American 'scown".........

It's skonn. Best I can do rhymes with bon
We usually have them with jam and cream - Devonshire Tea

Here it is pronounced as scon short o sound. Like bon as Stawka said. Where I came from in England it was pronouned with a long o sound like loan but other parts of England pronounce it the same way as in Australia.
