Joanie, to do that, I would have to make them myself. Not that keen
I can get them to make it that way at Gattis, an all u can eat pizza place. anywhere else, I have to buy the kernals at the grocery, and take it into a pick up pizza place and ask them. Most will uasally acomadate, some even like the idea and try a piece before i take it, with my permission of corse. I however, put sunflower kernals in most everything, mac n cheese, chilli,

How much would you pay for a large size pizza over there ? Here that is about 8 good size slices,(imagine really large dinner plate) but on thinner base that the one's you seem to have.
My local Domino's (don't shout at me all your pizza connoissers, it's all that is near me) are $4.95 if you collect rather than have them deliver.

This is Australia. We're strange enough as it is. They wouldn't do that

It varries, Little Ceasers is 5 dollars but they are a gamble. the really good places charge 10 give or take. Gattis is 7.50 a person but it's all you can eat buffet, they have pizza made how you want it, then called over a loud speaker, breadsticks with cheese, mac n cheese, potato wedges, and a salid bar.
I fill up on the thin crust extra cheese, pepproni w/sunflower kernals, top it off with a bowl of mac n cheese also with the kernals, some cheesy sticks, potato wedges. But thats after going a day or more without eating to get my money's worth.
Id prefer to eat at Golden Corral as they have steak, chicken pot roast, much better selection of foods, but no longer allowed in there. they are only about 2 dollars more, but worth it.

thought you were gonna say sunflowers dont grow there. or arent sold there. What scares me about Aulstralia is your comon brown snake. I watched a youtube video with that Steve guy on the 10 deadliest snakes and that was number 2, the second worlds most poisonious. But i fear that one more because it gets into homes unlike many of the others Steve covered. Here all i have to worry about is the rattle, coperhead, and cottonmouth pits, similar in appearance to your death addar. or maybe a corral with red next to yellow, alittle futher south.

'that Steve guy' as you called him, was Steve Irwin
and he was killed by a stingray in 2006.
Just shows, you can't muck around with deadly animals,
no matter how much you think you know

@dwilke33 wrote:I think lots of folks like it thin. True Italian pizza is thick crusted...very similar to french bread. At least that's how my grandmother made it and she was from the boot of Italy (Calabria).
Incorrect.
True Italian pizza is thin. Made so that when you pick up a triangle you can fold it in your hands between thumb and other 4 fingers so that the topping doesn't slide off.
Calebrese pizza usually has a thicker crust than other regional pizza but the base is still thin.
Thick base pizza is an american thing.

How come so many Americans are posting on the Aussie ebay boards now?
Mixing the intellectual gene pool is a proactive step 🙂

We have as many pizza versions as you guys do trifle recipes........
On the telly tonight.........Domino's sells 2 medium 2-topping pizzas for $5.95 each (minimum 2).............
Papa Murphy sells a large 5-meat "stuffed pizza" (weighs 4 lbs) for $12, also a large thin crust "delite" pizza in a number of varieties, including veggie for $10........PM is a take and bake shop.
Papa John's uses Peyton Manning (Bronco's quarterback) as a shill, prices similar to the rest, now specializing in a Philly cheesesteak pizza...........
Then there's Angelo's, Abby's, Pizza Hut, and Godfather's (now defunct) chain stores.

I was going to reply to some of the replies on that other thread, but it's probably best to just let it go.

I've been coming here for over 3 years now. People seem to have normal conversations here instead of talking over each other. Plus there was.....she'll be back, lol.
Funny thing though....the very things I've read some say they hate about Americans.... they display the same exact traits.

Edit: NY Pizza is the best! And yes, sometimes we say, "pick up a pie".
