I love this weather cold and raining, as long as we don't get too much of it.
Soup will definitely be on the menu tonight. I go through stages with soup, am back into the smooth version, unless
it is a barley and veg soup then I like it straight up not blended.
There is nothing like the aroma of a pot of soup on the stove. I think it will be barley and veg tonight a personal favourite.
How do you like your soup?

You can only use them on the stove top if they are designed for that. Not with a ceramic one.
Some can sear inside the slow cooker but I preferred this one because you have more control with the temp etc.
My old one that blew up I never used to brown the meat and it still turned out well.

It was only a cheapie from Woolies - only $20
Just wanted to see what they were like.
As long as the meat is tender. Guess I'll have
to wait and see

I sometimes do mine without browning the meat, can't see or taste the difference myself.
Yes, I have a slow cooker.............. a massive 8? litre job for large family gatherings. However, I also have a new pressure cooker. I have used it thrice recently for guests and I love it!
A curry
Lamb and root veges in red wine.
Meatballs in sauce.

My boys loved it too Lurker but I didn't like it that much. I think it was all a bit over the top with beef stock as well. It was almost too flavoursome.

I've never used a pressure cooker Azureline. I'm a bit scared of them because I alway think of that clunky old thing that my mum had like 40 odd years ago. I think dinner ended up on the ceiling one day.

If this works out ok, I might invest in a larger one.
Seeing as this is the soup thread - we have a meal we like
to call Stoup. Like a soup but a stew. I just chuck everything
in and then serve in a bowl when it's ready. Sloppy stew really.
We also call it 6 Month Soup. Sticks to your ribs stuff
