Put it in the fridge but cover it with lemon juice, that stops it going brown. That's what I do with avocado. It may disguise the mould then what you don't know won't hurt you

I can not find any spare "D's" to put in my " frig" , so will have to forgoe this debate!

In Australia we spell fridge with a D and frig is a subsitute for another f word.

Buy green coloured (not the purpley ones) avocados, they don't go brown.

I just read that yesterday in the Coles magazine. They are the smoother skinned avocados that don't turn purple as they ripen. They are called Shepard avocados apparently. I can't wait until I see them in the shops so that I can do my own experiment.
