No,

Yes, they sabotage logging equipment, leave a damn mess at camps when they leave.

I have friends over there who have helped clean up the mess afterwards. They are not anti Green but it pees them off

how they leave things once they go or the media lose interest.

Abandoned Camp Upper Florentine

This protestors camp shows how the green groups leave a site after they have finished a blockade, this blockade area was in the Upper Florentine, it was left abandoned with all rubbish, make-shift tents, barricades including the booby traped ram-rod set up and still in the set position, young trees had been cut down to make the tent supports, two larg trees had been cut down to block the roads, a booby trap system of wire rope that the protestors had positioned at the top of trees, when or if the trees that have the steel wires connected to them are cut down the system is designed to kick the bottom of the tree back and injure or kill the person that cut the tree, these inerconnecting wires are extremely hard to see on wet and overcast days the supplier of these images was nearly injured or killed when removing some of the trees.

I found the article

Re Gunns,

"Then there was the personal vilification. Gay describes it as ''torture'' for his wife, Erica, and adult son and daughter, with his home under assault two or three nights a week for years - from smoke bombs under the house, stink bombs at the front door, dead possums in the yard, people rattling the gates late at night and screaming abuse from the street.

His wife was spat at in the supermarket and the Tasmanian media sat on the fence as a good man's reputation was destroyed.

''My wife and kids were tormented . . . I had to put in a security system so my wife could feel safe,'' he says."

(The worst kind are the Ecoterrorist but we haven't got to that level of extreme yet in this country

but some groups are already classed as terrorist groups.)

I got stuck reading about Edward Rouse

The company has been the focus of criticism from environmentalists, primarily for its four woodchip mills which produce 4 million tonnes of chips for export annually. Green groups claim that native forests are harvested specifically for woodchipping, whereas Gunns claim that the majority of their chips come from residue from their sawmilling and veneer operations. Gunns' major customers are paper producers in Northern Asia, mainly Japan, including Mitsubishi, Nippon and Oji Paper. Gunns has also been criticized for its logging operations in the Styx Valley and for its use of 1080 poison [1] to kill wildlife including protected species (baiting and particularly aerial spraying of forest prior to clearfelling [4]).

In 1989, the chairman of Gunns, Edmund Rouse, unsuccessfully attempted to bribe a Labor member, Jim Cox, to cross the floor, which would have allowed the pro-logging Tasmanian government of premier Robin Gray and the Liberal Party to resume power. A Royal Commission followed and convicted Rouse.[17] Robin Gray became director of Gunns Limited on 21 February 2000. He retired from the position in 2010.

Further allegations of corruption appeared when Paul Lennon, Premier of Tasmania, had his heritage home renovated by a Gunns-owned company at the height of Gunns' push for the Bell Bay Pulp Mill. Lennon refused to disclose how much he paid for the renovations.[18]

plenty of articles on the net but this one is the short version. while i certainly don't condone attacking anyone, I would've most certainly protested against what this company was doing. I suggest reading more about it if anyone's interested

Aps, I didn't think to google green plot Woman LOL

I like this

and for its use of 1080 poison [1] to kill wildlife including protected species (baiting and particularly aerial spraying)

That's exactly what the government does and you can't bait with 1080 without following Gov't guidelines.

The Gov't aerial baits all over Australia by the ton. No oe likes using 1080 but the Gov't banned all

the good stuff.

The greens still go too far and destroy legitimate businesses.

Deb

How much non plantation wood do you have in your house ????????

I know mine as I checked before I built it.

Re: How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

I don't.

I also read that a few farmers complained about their properties getting sprayed ( aerial spraying)... that's just not on

Roseberry used to be so beautiful  I wonder if it still is?

Re: How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

what do we burn?? we're burning an old fence we had pulled down

and I don't think we have any plantation wood as it's all antique furniture, original baltic & jarrah floors, doors skirtings etc.

aerial spraying ?

1080 isn't sprayed as a liquid, it is used on baits which are then dropped from the air.

I don't like 1080 as you can probably tell. I prefer quicker and more targeted killers like Strychnine.

Re: How would you best describe right wing propaganda?

it was this stuff

When, in 2004, the Wyena farmers Howard and Michelle Carpenter had themselves and their property directly sprayed by a helicopter with Atrazine meant for an adjacent Gunns plantation, poisoning their water supply, Gunns' only response was to send the couple two bottles of spring water. Later, when the story became a public scandal, they provided the Carpenters with a water tank which a few months later they removed, though the Carpenter's water bore remained poisoned.

There is a tonne of reading about the crooked dealings of Gay and his buddy boys.

His ego grew larger than his capability and he managed to destroy almost the entire timber industry in Tasmania in just a few years.

The Greens Party is an easy target to deflect the blame onto.
