I don't have ambulance cover

I have just about every insurance cept this one. How much is it for a single or family? Is it better to buy it with your private insurance or separately.

I pay around $75 a year for two of us. So far we have needed an ambulance three times. This includes one airflight 200 kms to Melbourne. Would have cost us many many thousands of dollars. Why would anyone not have ambulance cover?

I recommend it.

I pay every 5 years and recently I was sent an invoice for a 10 min journey for $1000 because they misspelled my name and once I provided the membership number, no problem.

Even if simply to support the cause. So those entities can assist others.

Our private health fund covers Ambulance.

We recently used an ambulance for a less than 3km trip to the local hospital....bill was over $300.

I''m not sure, does my private health fund Medibank which I have hospital and extras include ambulance. I don't use anything so have no idea.

In Queensland it is free to residents and funded by the state government.
