I don't have ambulance cover

I have just about every insurance cept this one. How much is it for a single or family? Is it better to buy it with your private insurance or separately.

It  included in  a  Health Fund membership in NSW.

AHM has ambulance cover only for a single person for about $60,

It most likely is covered in your Health Insurance, phone them and ask or look online.

The state government in Qld doesn't cover ambulance, there is a levy on your electricity bill to cover it. If you have more than one bill, such as a business, then you pay it twice.

Residents in Queensland have ambulance cover provided by the QLD government.

From 1 July 2011, Queenslanders are no longer required to pay the Community Ambulance Cover Levy—which was paid via their electricity bills.  All Queensland residents receive free ambulance cover, both in Queensland and elsewhere across Australia.

Another poster, who lives in QLD, posted this same info in the thread today about  injured person overseas/no travel insurance.

Yep, we are with Medibank too.

We just took the bill to them and that was the end of it.

I just got my bill for ambo cover.

Im in SA and for a family of 5, i pay $141.00 for the year.

I had to pay for an ambo once when i dislocated my knee. The 10 min drive to the hospital cost me $680.00
