3 Asylum Seekers in detention escaped yesterday.

So far police have been unable to find them.

Anyone know anything about this?

Any links etc?

Oh no. You'd better lock up tight tonight. They might be from another country and have different Christian values.

Northam escapee still on the run after two weeks

A Vietnamese detainee who escaped a WA immigration detention centre two weeks ago has still not been found.

The man was one of two detainees to escape from Northam's Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre, 100 kilometres east of Perth, on the night of December 27.

Efforts were continuing to find the escapee and detention services provider Serco will investigate the circumstances of the escape, a spokesman for Immigration Minister Scott Morrison said.

Senior Sergeant Mal Ward said Northam police will no longer be actively involved in the manhunt.

It was just on the news on the radio when I was picking up one of the Crikey Kinder from work. That's all I heard.

Northam 6401 Police are searching for four people who escaped in broad daylight from a detention centre in Northam. It is understood five Vietnamese nationals scaled fences at the Yongah Hill centre about 2:00pm yesterday and ran away. One man was caught by authorities a short time later. Police are still searching areas around Northam for the other men. A Vietnamese teenager who escaped from the facility 18 days ago, still has not been found. The Minister for Immigration and Border Protection has been contacted for comment.
