I know it's pedantic

But from the 20 th of March Newstart, Sickness allowance and I guess some other payments will all be known as Jobseeker payment.

So every time I here Scott say that you can apply for Sickness allowance I think well sounds like a bit of misinformation to me.

I was told years ago by a Centrelink officer not to call it Sickness allowance and I've been receiving what used to be called Sickness allowance since I first had medical issues in 2012.

It's also slightly misleading when it's stated that it's more than Newstart because even though that's true it's only six dollars and fifty cents more per fortnight to cover medication.
The way it's stated you'd be thinking it was more than six dollars and fifty cents.

The fact that it's only five days away that they'll be called Jobseeker payment then maybe they should be using that language already because they will have to otherwise from the twentieth people will be confused as to what they're applying for

Yeah, the paperwork wears you down. Which is why I opted to get a job, rather than having to deal with Centrelink.

I understand that's not an option for everybody.
