JobSeeker Payment starts on 20 March 2020
27 February 2020
You don’t need to do anything to move to this new payment.
news item
From 20 March 2020 if you’re getting Newstart, we’ll transfer you to JobSeeker Payment.
You’ll get the same payment rate as long as your circumstances haven’t changed.
If something has changed, you need to tell us as soon as possible. Any changes could change your payment rate. If you don’t tell us, we may not pay you the right amount.
You need to keep meeting your mutual obligation requirements to keep getting your payment.
Next steps
Make sure your details are up to date so we don’t lose contact with you.
You can update your details the same way you’ve been doing for Newstart.

Yeah, the paperwork wears you down. Which is why I opted to get a job, rather than having to deal with Centrelink.
I understand that's not an option for everybody.
