Oh Jean, you poor thing. I feel your pain.
Now you won't have pretty flowers

Don't feel so bad, it happens all the time. My spring bulbs were just coming up one year and the ex came along with the weed spray.
I totally forgot that I had planted seaside daisy seedlings recently but thank goodness the weather was kind to them and they have survived so far.

Don't feel too bad Jean xx
Mr. Tas and I were looking after a small garden for some friends a few years ago while they went to the mainland.
We "helpfully" weeded their garden for them, to find out later, that they were missing their lettuces, radishes, bok choy and other assorted vegetable seedlings they had just planted before leaving ......

Oh no Jean, from reading everyone's responses I can see that we're all guilty of doing that, Lol
Not me Deb.
I am a goose but gardening is a bit like housework. Only when necessary.
