I think everyone's a bit over ebay now. Seriously, if I want something from Target I can go to their own website or hop in the car.
I have Harvey Norman and Dick Smith close by so that's an easy trip to check out what I want or I can shop online without having to go through ebay.
Perhaps people only use ebay because they want to collect feedback.

In a way I feel for you because you came on here to discuss a thought and an idea that was worrying you.
That was your first mistake. Second mistake was thinking that you would get any kind of help on here.

The answer is bid to the level you are willing to pay and if it goes higher than it is no loss because it exceeded your level anyway
thats right, about ten seconds before the auction's end
last week, a mate asked if i could bid on something for him, his PC is on the blink and said: put $100 max bid
25 seconds remaining.. there was a max bid of $35 from someone, waited for a bit... out sniped them by about 10 seconds later, got the item for $36. they had no hope in hell.. trying to place another bid, lol
i still got
mate's pretty happy, it was a collectable thing for his model car
