Supervised visits would be at a designated place with a staff member from child services, present as well?
Only if the judge ordered it that way, from what I read, we havent been given the specific order.

Yes the details are sketchy. Would you have supervised VISITS to a child if you lived in the home with that child though, how can you visit someone if you live with them?
Different if it said he could live there but never be left alone with the child (which would not be that doable)?
Woudl the mother want him in her home after what he did.. she may care for him now.. but surely it will sink in that it would not be in the best interests of her child to have him living in their house after what he did.

Both parents need a lot of help. It is not clear whether or not this is being put into place. Hopefully SCAN teams will make sure that the baby is safe from further harm. This scenario is fairly common, unfortunately. We don't know exactly what happened in the courtroom, we know only what the reporter chose to report. IMO it should make no difference whether or not the injuries are "permanent". The baby was only one episode away from death.

It says supervised access, not visits? maybe he isn't allowed to be alone with the babe.
Honestly, why don't people choose the father of their children more carefully??

Yes some are good actors as you put it mugs. Others become jealous of the attention given to a new baby...see it as a threat?

Yes, it does say that.
Very hard/difficult to live with someone and not let them be alone with a baby/small child?
A friends, sis in law and brother had 4 small children (their home was dysfunctional, no housework done, kids not feed properly, parents didn't work although skilled/highly educated). The father couldn't cope and went to stay with his parents for a month, his wife said don't come home. The mother of the kids also took out an order that their father and grandfather weren't to be left alone with the kids when they were staying on the weekends at the grandparents house to visit their father, even though there was no reason for the order.
It made it very difficult for the Grandmother when the kids wereat her house in the weekend as she couldn't go to church or down to the shops for a short trip by herself. She loved the kids to pieces and wouldn't do anything that would jeopardise having them to stay though.
