I'm thinking of running away from the circus

And giving up my day job as the bearded lady.

Anyone tried IPL or laser hair removal?

Or has anyone tried the E-one hair removal gizmo?

so is there anything good about getting old?

I'm not having none of that stuff ^^^^

nope. I'm putting my foot down.

it's just wrong.

I mean all that as well as all the sicknesses and illnesses that happen as our bodies deteriorate etc, the loss of independence.

What's so **bleep** good about ll tht that scientists are so darned focused on increasing our life expectancy?

Well -

Ya get cheap everything on Pensioner/Senior discount.
You can eat yourself stupid at the pub - 3 course meal $12.95

You can wallop the young 'uns with ya walking stick**

And I was gunna say you can say anything you want to anybody

anytime you want -

But I see that's superfluous in your case

**Just kidding mods, really

 LOL

Hey, another thread just mentioned it's your birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

So is that why you're worried about getting closer to getting old?

'fraid so.  And I'm not from an ethnicity that would be considered "hairy"

na seriously, there are 2 different sorts of lasering. one is impulses along the hair (i think that is the cheapy version) and another one which i forgot the name of, some flashy name . do some googling first before you do it.

Re: I'm thinking of running away from the circus

hank you, but no, the thought of getting old has always concerned me.

just so many people sem to get sick and stuff, and then you read the threads here about nursing homes and how poorly our elderly are cared for etc...

it's just not something I have any aspiration to experience, and apart from the walking stick bit, haven't heard too many other good things about it - although one of those mobility scooters would be pretty cool, I reckon!

Re: I'm thinking of running away from the circus

there is a good thing about getting old.

once your hair is white you don't have to bleach it before you dye it green.

bleaching really wrecks the hair and then you have to cut it off.

I can't say I've ever had a desire to dye my hair green, is that something else that comes with old age?

I'm going to dye mine that bright purple colour when it's all grey.

actually it's probably all grey now if I stopped dyeing it. 😞
