I must say..........

..... the content of most of the topics here is getting progressively sillier.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I can only speak for myself ...I don't see ebay's posting guidelines as annoying.

those who constantly step outside them and get away with doing so...I do

why is it objectionable when 1 poster does it , but OK by some here when we have wall to wall pickering spliced with newsltd rubbish we could find for ourselves ? some of the conservative posters have a blind double standard ..  what about the faberge themed spamming from yesterday ?  i didn't see a word uttered on that topic.

maybe some posters see it done purposely to annoy, doesnt bother me so much but it seems thats the motivation

some are trying to get a point accross which is OK by me ,  others are pushing hate media which i despise.  to me thats the difference.

theres enough hate bloggers and sponsored bigots around out there already .

I like emoticons

Emoticons are allowed under ebay policy

If I decided to post 200 of them in the middle of every post I make ( there are no policy rules saying I can't do that), I would expect others to comment on that and perhaps they would ask me to stop doing that as it annoys them. I would take notice of those comments and cease doing it.

I must say I cried a little when people enunciated their objections to my liking fior red print when writing wiuthin quoted posts.

I like red.

It makes me happy.

But others voiced their objections, so for reasons of self preservation out of respect for the greater community I now use blue. I think the sociologists call it conforming to accepted societal norms - belonging to and participatuing in a positive manner within a chosen community. Sometimes a person just has to curb their deepest desires and concede some points for the greater good. (Mill's Harm Principle)

and every time a little bit of me dies inside.

Except this is not all about politics. Individuals from both sides of politics are participating in this.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out there is C&P posted articles here and there by different posters and then there are some that FLOOD threads with them... big difference.

So true, one C & P is OK but reams and reams and  then the  innumerable nasty pictures to ram their point of view down your throat? totally agree, rude and finger pointing. Some just don't get it no matter how many hints are dropped.

you are being defamatory,

I'm incredibly sorry, but if I agree with you we would both be wrong.

There is not one Defamatory Statement in either of those posts.

I'm not a fan of faberge eggs so I didnt venture in there much but to me it looked like lots of photos, a bit like the photo thread, more than a lot of vey long text C & P's.

I'm not fussed about who posts the lengthy cut and pastes, they are all equally annoying, especially the ones with large, bolded or red font.

I stopped doing that!

I do wish people would stop sneaking in and posting while I am composing my reply. Smiley Frustrated

That last post was in response to Crikeys second last post.

p.s. just coz it's within ebay guidelines doesn't mean it can't be pushed to the limits and annoying as hell.
