I've just booked a cruise. Tips?

Not going for a few months but am wondering what I need to watch out for. I've never been on a cruise before and I can't imagine it being my thing but the kids were really keen.

It's one of the Royal Caribean ones that do the South pacific run for 10 days.

depending upon the company look into buying the daily alcohol vouchers/certificate

instead of paying huge prices over the bar you can buy these for about $30 for all beer you can drink,

then more $$ for wine spirits ETC.

My trip is getting close now so thought I would bump this for anyone who wants to share some ideas with me.

I am on the Voyager of the Seas South pacific 10 day cruise.

Have husband, elderly parents and kids (16 and 12) with me.

My sister went on a cruise a couple of years ago and she had the most ridiculous complaint I have ever heard, she didn't have a pair of scissors with her!

Why did she need scissors?

Because the t-shirt that the "morning walking group" wore (when walking around the ship) had a really tight neck band.

So if you like a loose neck band you had better take some scissors.
