An interesyting open letter written by a fed up Australian
ILLEGAL BOATS "WHAT HAPPENED TO FAIR PLAY?"
The GREENS and ALP are part of the PROBLEM not the SOLUTION.
The community is fed up with the antics of the ALP and Greens especially “cry me a river” Sarah Hanson Young.
The AUSTRALIAN PEOPLE don't need a minute by minute update of what occurs, WE WANT THE BOATS STOPPED. The only peeple that are demanding minute by minute information are the GREENS and the FAILED ALP supporters who created this problem in the first place
That pathetic woman Sarah Hanson Young from the Greens and the ALP are undertaking every possible means to undermine Australian sovereignty and encourage the influx of illegal boat arrivals dealing directly with criminals trading in human trafficking.
Never have the Greens or ALP spoken out against those opportunistic parasites making a fortune from those seeking ILLEGAL entry to Australia.
Blame every single DEATH at sea on the bloodied hands of Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard, ALP and of course the disgraceful blind as a bat GREENS.
Given the press conference by Scott Morrison this morning there is no doubt “cry me a river” Sarah Hanson Young of the Greens and the ALP will hold a press conference and distort the facts solely to undermine the proven effective efforts of the Abbott Government.
Their actions will only serve to AID the CRIMINALS organising the boats in what has become a lucrative business that makes the drug trade seem trivial.
A few questions for “cry me a river” Sarah Hanson Young, the Greens and the ALP and the bleeding heart left leaning people
1. Have the GREENS and the ALP and Left ever pressed the Indonesian government to mutually respect Australian sovereignty as they demand we respect theirs?
2. Given the Indonesian border represents less than 12% of our own border, how difficult is it for them to be pro active, detect & prevent the illegal departure of illegal boats headed for our borders?
3. “cry me a river” Sarah Hanson Young and the ALP in case you have not noticed these boats are not the size of a “tin dingy”, they are more than double the size of a BUS, how the hell are these boats departing Indonesia so frequently undetected?
4. Why is Indonesia allowing them to depart in full knowledge they are intruding on our sovereignty yet demanding we respect their sovereignty?
5. Will Indonesia allow Australian resources into their country to aid and detect these unseaworthy death traps “boats cramped with human lives” to prevent their departure thus abate the current situation and negate the pathetic one way discussion on Indonesian Sovereignty?
6. If Indonesia is INCAPABLE of detecting and stopping these boats before they depart their ports and shores WHY WOULD THEY REFUSE Australian assistance to achieve that goal?
7. Why is this perverted underhanded situation been supported by the GREENS, The ALP and UNIONS?
ALP and GREENS are you aware that respect is a two way street?
This will come as news to the GREENS and the ALP and LEFT, "Respect is a mutual understanding set on a level playing field where by both parties agree on a mutual undertaking that protects the interests of both entities"
There is no doubt the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA has no intention of respecting Australia, they demand respect yet do not reciprocate with equal mutual respect.
The fact of the matter and core of the problem is “there are Indonesian officials, police, security officers” that are part of this hideous deadly business been supported by “cry me a river” Sarah Hanson Young, The GREENS and the ALP
Put the shoe on the other foot and imagine the outcry from Indonesia if the situation was reversed and illegal's were departing our shores to settle in Indonesia!!!!
We are fed up with the perversion, distortion and outright manipulation from the GREENS and the failed ALP
The undisputed case is Indonesia for one reason or another is unable, incapable or unwilling to stop the departure of these boats and have no valid reason to object to Australian assistance to prevent the departures thereby nullifying the current situation.
Our foreign AID to Indonesia must be conditional on them agreeing to Australian resources to detecting stopping these boats before they hit the high seas.
The current situation is untenable and there is no doubt Australian Aerial surveillance and on the ground intelligence will dramatically if not totally stop these boats.
Those on the boats must all be arrested, interrogated so the traffickers are arrested and the entire business shut down.
Those arrested MUST then be placed in UN refugee camps where they can wait their turn like 99% of all other refugees and not given preferential treatment and allowed to queue jump at the expense of law abiding refugees.
Sadly people like the ALP, GREENS and “cry me a river” Sarah Hanson Young are incapable of a fair and balanced approach where by the agree that all refugees are treated fairly and equally.
These pathetic political parties would rather give preference to those that run the gauntlet, risk their own lives and those of their children and deal with criminals. This is the ALP, UNION, GREEN way of formulating policy.
No matter how you dissect the situation the GREENS and ALP are part of the PROBLEM not the SOLUTION.
Solved! Go to Solution.

I FOUND IF I WRITE MY OPINIONS LARGER THAN ANYONE ELSES THEY INSTANTLY BECOME MORE IMPORTANT.
ALSO WHEN I SAY I SPEAK FOR ALL AUSTRALIANS AND THROW IN THE PHRASE 'HATING AUSTRALIA" IT ISOLATES THE OPINIONS OF OTHERS AND MAKES IT SEEM THEY HATE AUSTRALIA, I LEARNT THAT FROM GOOD OLD CARING ALAN JONES WHO LIKES IMMIGRANTS SO MUCH HE WORKED HIS LISTENERS UP IN A DRUNKEN FRENZY TO ATTACK THEM ALL IN CRONULLA. .
THE KIND OF STUFF YOU WOULD EXPECT IN THE 40'S IN EUROPE.
capital letters help my point too.

Living in Exile – the Karen Refugee Camps in Thailand
Posted on July 17, 2012Out of sight, out of mind, these forgotten people fight for survival deep in the rain forests and up remote mountains near the Thai/Burma border.
But they are not the only ones. That is the problem. All refugees have a terrible story to tell. Tamil people from Shri lanka lived through indescribable atrocities and are still persecuted, yet our politicians (both sides) label them 'economic' refugees and deport them. The Syrians had no choice but get out of their country, and those that are in camps are enduring in this moment very harsh winter conditions with inadequate protection against weather. They also walked and were shot at, and were under threat of chemical warfare being used on them. To turn your argument; do you think that the people who are safe in Thai camp, where they get education and medical care and do not live in freezing conditions in tents, should be given priority over people who are getting sick and dying in middle east? There are millions of refugees deserving our help; there is absolutely no way anybody can look through all their files and pick up those most "deserving". It really is just picking up stack of files, and going through them from the top until you have the number you were told you need to select. Those lucky to be in that one pile, and near the top get accepted provided it all checks out. It is just too many people, too few places. It is just the luck of the draw.
Hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees are enduring blizzards, biting winds and freezing rain as the worst winter storm for decades sweeps across the Middle East.
Aid agencies are warning of extreme hardship, particularly among families living in flimsy tents.

sorry sweet, I get that they're not the only ones. They're just the ones I know about. I didn't mean to devalue any other refugees' suffering and desperation..
Consider that sort of like a blanket circumstance for all people in need of asylum, the geography might be different, but no doubt their stories are very similar.
It's just not fair that we do have to choose who comes and it's even more unfair when others get preferrential treatment just cos some don't have any money.

No, it is not fair. Of-course, it is not fair, and it breaks my heart, but we cannot take them all; there is no fair way to select people we will take. The best solution would be to sort the problems back in their country of origin. Good way to start would be to stop selling weapons (and land mines) to rogue countries around the world, and especially supplying various mad groups around Africa.

It's not simply the selling of weapons to 'rogue' states. Many of the refugee problems we have actually created ourselves.
We did it in Vietnam, and you don't need crystal ball to know what is going to happen in Iraq and Afghanistan once the last of 'our' troops have gone. In Syria we dithered for so long with little bits of non effective aid that the conflict has prety well reached a stalemate, the opposition has crumbled into factional disarray and whoever eventually wins, the end result is going to be just as ugly.
on 21-01-2014 11:41 AM
so wouldn't the fairest way be to process people in the order that they come to our attention?
and yes, I am all for sorting the problem in their countries, getting to the root of the problem, make their home country safe for them to stay. cos I can only speak for those I know of, but I guess most would feel the same, they would much rather stay in their home, in their country, if they had that luxury.
but that's what we do do (at least with the Karen - just speaking iof what IO know) we are processing them whilst they wait in their country (well Thailand), but everytime someone decides they don't want to wait they get pushed further back and have to wait even longer.
These people have been displaced and in turmoil for over 60 years - for generations, how much longer do they need to wait? How much longer before their future is more than a vague hope?
anyway, maybe the current peace talks in Burma will acheive something. Maybe some people will be able to "go home"
This is where I don't understand people's objection to operations such as Afghanistan. The aim was to provide a stable government, sure for our sake in the fight on terrorism etc, but also for the citizens.

But military intervention rarely does that; especially in country so different from ours. There is nothing stable about Iraq or Afghanistan. Once our troops leave Afghanistan who knows what will happen there; we can brace ourselves for new wave of people, especially the Hazaras.

"Those people who chose to take care of themselves rather than sit in the camps (sometimes for decades) are exactly the kind of people we want = people with energy, get up & go, and tackle any obstacle put in their way. They are the kind of people that made Australia what it is now. "
Wow! Just wow.........

I don't think walking hundreds of miles or taking on the persona of another is a luxury. It is sometimes the only choice of survival.
The prosthetics doc had the coice of cutting off ears to torture people, getting shot for his refusal, or run. So he ran with false documents and eventually made it to Australia, fortunately.

I do not remember people complaining about cost to tax payers when we gave Sri lanka (who are being investigated for war crimes after the British took them to the UN) naval boats .
