Sitting in the home office with a cup of tea keying a few books and listing to bird song (no traffic), and occasionally looking out onto the boat ramp and to watch a squadron of pelicans fishing as tide comes in.

Woulnt be dead for quids.

I was out in the garden yesterday, doing what one does in a garden all too often.  Weeding

All of a sudden huge shadows were moving across the ground.  Scary!  I'm talking metre sized shadows.  Lots of them.

Looked up.  A squadron of pelicans were circling in the air currents.  

Wonderful.

Ireland, Hawaii and Home Sweet Home of course.

Hawaii because I went there when I was very young and my first son was born there in Honolulu, beautiful place, inexplicable.  Ireland also so beautiful and interesting and tragic, all in one.  I have relatives, lots there natch.  And here in Minnesota, it's coming into the end of summer and one of my favorite seasons is coming up, fall.
