WTH is wrong with people? Are they just so self absorbed that they dont think about other people or are they just plain rude?
In the last 4 months these are some of the rude people ive had to deal with
1. Woman likes to go for 6am walks up my street. She has her phone with headphones on. She holds the phone in front of her and yells into it the whole time she is walking. She is so loud she wakes all of my household up. I went out and asked her to stop. She now only does it on Sat and Sun mornings. How nice of her...NOT
2. Man likes to go for walks at 5:15am every weekday morning. No big deal apart from the fact that he bounces a basketball while walking. So at 5:15am on the dot we hear BOING....BOING....BOING....BOING. Hubby goes out and asks him to stop bouncing the ball and is told to "Bleep off. Its a free country"
3. Ive had to leave notes on 3 people cars who decide that rather than walk a small distance to the high school, they will just park across my driveway instead
4. Neighbours moved out of their house on the weekend. They must of decided that they didnt need the ugly metal drum that they used to keep their chook food in at their new house. So where do they leave it? On the grass area right out the front of my house. Hubby rolled it back down their driveway.
5. 9:30pm last night. Kids are in bed and hubby and I are watching Breaking Bad (great show) when all of a sudden we hear a loud motorbike noise outside. We wait a while so see if it goes away but it doesnt. We go take a look and a group of 4 adults have decided that 9:30pm would be a great time to take their mini, noisy as hell, motorbike for a ride on the tennis courts across the road from my house. I go over and say "Hey, i have kids trying to sleep in here." They respond with "So what?" I then say "I'll just go call the cops then." So they leave
I mean come on. WTH is wrong with these people?

So you are saying its ok to go bounce a basketball up and down a suburban street at 5:15am?
And its ok to park across peoples driveways?
And its fine to dump your unwanted rubbish on others front lawns?
Yep, im intolerant of inconsiderate morons
There is no law against bouncing a basketball on a public walkway, so yes, it is OK.
You live near a high school? Everyone that lives near a school experiences those parking issues. Something to take into consideration when buying a house near a school.
It took your hubby less than a minute to return the unwanted drum.

Same with the ball.
Move house? To one that is further back from the street.. with bedrooms at the back.
Nobody said it was against the law.
It's about good manners and consideration for others.

I don't think any cars/trucks should be allowed on the highway before 8am... they make too much noise.

It is about the law actually. If a person was breaking local noise levels then action could be taken against them.
If it isn't breaking the law, then it is OK for them to do that stuff, even though one cranky pants in the street doesn't approve of it.

actually, here in SA i was told it is against the law to disturb someones peace no matter what time of day.
I was told that by a police officer when i rang about a party music blaring at 1am a few years ago. They asked why i didnt call earlier and i said i wasnt sure what the times were that they could play music loud too. They told me if its disturbing your peace, no matter what time, you can ring the police.

Must be nice to be able to sleep past 5am on a regular basis. I've been able to do that only for the past 2 years. 50 years before that, no chance. Had to go to work.

My OP did not mention the law at all so this thread is actually NOT about the law.
Its about "Inconsiderate or just plain rude?"
There are rude and inconsiderate people in the world who dont break the law you know.
