I couldn't find an appropriate thread to post this, so I thought I'd start a new one.
My bath tub's tap started dripping a couple of days ago at the rate of about two drops per second. A plumber is coming tomorrow. We have been catching the water to feed our plants. The amount of water we have captured over the last 24 hours is between 15 and 20 litres, allowing for some loss while we slept. This amount has blown me away, I thought it would only have been a couple of litres. Goodness knows how much water I have wasted and how much money I have wasted over the years.
Does anybody else know of information about anything that might be interesting or helpful?

I learned something else this week that may be interesting and/or helpful for somebody.
My lady experienced a lesion or abrasion on her back a few days ago. It was about the size of a 20 cent coin, very red, the skin was slightly broken and it was weeping. She is a big reader and found a medical article that stated a sodium bicarbonate paste applied to such a wound can help dry the wound and with healing. I have made a paste of sodibic and water for the last two days and placed it on the wound with a small dressing on top.
This morning when I removed the dressing I couldn't believe my eyes. It was the size of a five cent coin, light pink, dry and the skin seemed near normal. This has happened much faster than usual and I am eager to see what it looks like tomorrow morning. It does make sense to me why this is working, but I did not expect it to be healing so fast.

I suggest at night before retiring note the number of litres on the water meter , then in the moring note the number and figure at the difference if any - hopefully will not be any but if the difference is large then .....
