This poor excuse of a man could  soon joining be the ranks of the Labor criminal set which is so long one can't fit it on a single page. I suppose this answers the question of "Where is Bill?" these days.

Etymology

There is some debate over the origin of the term kangaroo court, but some sources suggest that it may have been popularized during the California Gold Rush of 1849, as a description of the hastily carried-out proceedings used to deal with the issue of claim jumping miners.[2] Other sources claim that the term comes from the notion of justice proceeding "by leaps", like a kangaroo.[3] Some have suggested that the phrase could refer to the pouch of a kangaroo, meaning the court is in someone's pocket. This is the first I've heard of it.There are quite a few links to it on the web. The Kangaroo Court is just one of them.

For what it's worth, I think it's just as much a beat-up as that wall-punching incident of Mr Abbotts that the press had such a field day with during the election lead-up.

David Marr, the one who cares so much more than anybody else, had a whole chapter in his book devoted to it, did a quarterly essay & included it,  did all the ABC shows spruiking it & it hit the media for days on end whilst Gillard was waging her phony gender war to save her own skin.
