If you said it to someone of another Culture/County they may think that you were implying that their culture/Country don't treat women with respect. It could be seen as racist ?
or who knows they may think of it a joke ...

I said "This is my country , my culture and it is a Matriarchal Culture which means we treat women with respect"
I heard Deborah Cheetham say that and I did not take it as racist at the time.

no, I dont think its racist

I don't think it is racist... however I would need to have heard the entire conversation...
I think people mix up "culture" and "race"
Two very different subjects and people will often call you racist if you attack someones culture which is an entirely silly thing to do.

Said in your own country ? No, how could it possibly be racist

No I don't think its racist, nor do I think wishing someone a Merry Christmas or celebrating Easter is, but some seem to want those things stopped because it goes against their culture.
I say too bad
