They allocate people into die hard voters, swinging etc and do repeated polls to check for change of attitude, but your individual name wouldn't be recorded and you'd be one of thousands in each group.
Atm they wouldn't care if rusted on voters would change their opinion, they'd be more interested in an overall picture.
100% correct Karen....
so they do manipulate their results in a way. They do not appear to be polling the same people. They have changed their demographics.
All good.. and I am not saying that they are trying to alter things. Or trying to do anything to manipulate anyone side of politics.
In fact I find it very interesting to see what they are polling and why.

I went and checked the last time I was polled and it was six weeks after the election... none since.
They don't do the same door knock poll more than once.... but they do poll you more than once on other occasions.
They do take on contracts to survey people multiple times sometimes but not as part of their ongoing opinion polling.
Perhaps the LNP or ALP commissioned them to run polls in your area at election time.

Here is a list of every Prime Minister of Australia since Sir Edmund Barton. How much do you know about the policies and acheivements of each one of them and would you care to enumerate the acheivements gained by Tony Abbott during six month in office that make him a better Prime Minister than each and every one of them?

He stopped the boats. He said he would. He promised he would. He did. This makes him a man of honor.
He means what he says and he does what he says. This makes him trustworthy.
Tony Abbott and John Howard in my opinion are the best ever. Hard to pick exactly who is in front - i'd say draw.

But how does it make him a better Prime Minister than, say, Alfred Deaken or Robert Menzies - are you implying they were less trustworthy and if so what were their failings in that area? And for a fair comparison we'd better make that during their first six months in office?

OK, so what makes them both better prime Ministers than Joseph Cook (elected in 1913)
