Some people get them on plans I think........lol
Everyone has different priorities, there are quite a few laundromats where I live so these people must not have washing machines, yet they all seem to have phones

Well, no, not a sign of wealth, if all the unemployed dole bludgers have one. That must be true because I read it on CS.
I have an Android smart phone.. about 3 years old, will keep it till it dies.. expect that won't happen for a few years yet.

Depends what is stored on the iPhones, too. Information is also of value.
having said that, my iPhone cost ten times as much as my last phone, but saved me having to buy a computer as well.
seeeeeeee...practical 😛

I nearly have enough flybuys points for the new iPhone 6 but I already have the 6 plus. I might get one anyway and sell it on ebay 😄

I love mine and it has nothing to do with being cool. My ex today said to me that his mum's vacuum cleaner was too heavy for her to drag around. She is in her 80's.
So I said to Siri, Hey Siri? How much does the Dyson hand held vacuum cost and instantly she brought up the Dyson website. $349. How's that!
How come Siri knows my name? I never told her.

I can only speak for myself. My first mobile lasted almost ten years until the battery swelled up like a giant mintie and killed it (a non-smart Nokia). My second lasted two years (bottom of the range htc). This iThingy I expect to last out this decade. None of the purchased were driven by desire or finances but by practicality.
vic, I use the iThingy out and about for work so am on the net right now on a walk 🙂

You would get a laugh out of my mobile then Donna ....
Mr. Tas sent me out to buy a mobile phone, my choice of anything.
It's a "flip" phone, is never turned on and I couldn't even tell you the number. The only thing it can do it receive and send calls and it's a prepaid. Within a six month recharge, I would be lucky to make three calls ... pitiful innit? Mr. Tas and friends were horrified ....
Will come in handy if the car breaks down though.

Me too Donna. It took some getting used to the size and I thought I should have got the other one but now I love it and it has replaced my old iPad too.
