I had a quick look at the FB page that was set up in opposition to the approval for the mosque. Truly disgusting.
And now the councillors that approved the development are being targeted.
Is this what we have become ? Where are our leaders decrying this behaviour ?

That facebook page is truly disgusting and I am ashamed that those people who run it call themselves patriotic australians.
Those bigots/racists drown out any legitimate concerns some people have (eg; traffic, noise issues).

Interesting.
Doesn't Bendigo have the highest climbing rate of domestic violence in the country?
So it's OK to beat your wife half to death but they worry about the non-existent threat of terrorism instead? Why don't they concentrate their efforts on the former problem instead.

what a surprise...
The anti-Islam group that brought controversial Dutch politician Geert Wilders to Australia has emerged as a key force behind protests against the building of a mosque in Bendigo.
