why the heck do some deem it necessary for our Government to have the same kind of support (like that of Pickering for example) they had while in opposition ?

See this is what I mean, it's not about "sides" it's about our country & it's sovereignty. The numerous posts egging on supporters & lambasting opponents, bewildering comments is all this type of thing is designed for.
The real story behind all these posts is not about immigrants accessing our country illegally but which side you are on.
