just little bowls to put your mustards and sauces etc in for on the dinner table?
I've got a white dinner set with gold edges, and trying to find matching dishes etc - I just know them as ramekins, but is there a special name?
Thanks

I thought ramekins were small round ceramic dishes that you bake individual deserts (creme brulee) and stuff in, in the oven.
Mustard - usually mustard pots with a tiny spoon, do people put it in small bowls now?
Sauce, they do make small shallow bowls for that.
You would want something more bowl shaped than a ramekin wouldn't you?

(yes, you're right about the ramekins re/ baked desserts etc.)

Not sure. Do you want small individual bowls (as used in Asian cuisine)?

In my mind I had ramekins in mind like for indiovidual steamed puddings kinda thing. like the tupperware ovenworks ones - I have heaps of those, but they won't match my table setting LOL
