I want to find the fellow who owns our unit, I can't ask the RE because I have a feeling he wants to sell. We want to cut them out by negotiating with him to buy, if the price is right.

Bit tricky if you don't know a specific area - town/suburb that the person you are looking for lives in. 

What info does an electoral roll give apart from names?

The titles office in Brisbane charges about $14 and no questions asked and you wait about 5 minutes.  You get the name and address of the owner of the property.

A3 the only info I have is his name and that he lives in QLD, the RE handle the rental of the property. The RE wouldn't give the info to a tenant.

If it's an unusual name, you can try all those websites out there ... FaceBook, LinkedIn, etc.  There are other web-based agencies who will give you lists of details about people for a fee.  You can try the "white pages".  You can just do a search on XXXX XXXXX phone number / email / queensland.  

There is a whole heap of information out there.  I managed to find a woman in America, her husband, their address, phone numbers, his occupation and hobbies on minimal startup information.  

Do you know any more about him?  Like where he is in QLD?  His wife's name?  

You can do a google search on your address and see what comes up there.  

You could email me his name and I'll have a look.  Any results to you only also by email.
