Is this rude? Telstra Billing

Do you think it will work?

Dear Telstra Billing

I am over phoning about the inept billing of my account. To cut a long story short I was having terrible trouble with my cable going offline even when several technicians came and went. This went on for months.

Because I was having ongoing issues Telstra suggested I add data to my iphone, they would bill me but then credit me for this usage. I am still being charged EVEN AFTER REQUESTING THEY REMOVE THE DATA, this was after a lengthy call a few months back.

I am enclosing a cheque for 50% of this bill as a measure of good faith on my behalf as I simply do not have the time nor the inclination to speak to someone from overseas and repeat everything AGAIN that I have already spoken about several times.

When someone with knowledge about these issues I have been having has the time to call me or write to me with a correct balance I will stop writing in CAPS lol 🙂

Expect a call from debt collectors in a few months time for the other 50%.

Your letter will have no effect at all. You should contact the Telecommuncations Ombudsman and let them approach Telstra for you, best approach.

Why not ask the TIO to handle it on your behalf?

I did.  Not only did I receive regular updates from Telstra regarding the issue, I was also compensated for the inconvenience Smiley Happy

Am is right.  Making a part payment without prior arrangement is not the way to go.

My mum lives in ballina and her foxtel went down today, problem with the dish on the roof apparently, she just spent hours on the phone to them only to be told that the first available technician will be Feb next year, I told her to rip it off the roof and put it on the front lawn and tell them to come and pick it up !

i don't think they actually care....

i have had major problems with Telstra but at the end of the day, what matters to me is that they are resolved and there is only one way to handle that.   polite or rude attitude will make no difference.  go through the  proper channels.

Re: Is this rude? Telstra Billing

phoning billing doesn't work, isn't that what they want you to do?

they can read their own notes and hopefully sack the staff members that don't have a clue that have not dealt properly with this.

there have been 2 periods of 6 months that they didn't bill me for foxtel in the last few years too.

Inept is the correct word me thinks.
