Do you think it will work?
Dear Telstra Billing
I am over phoning about the inept billing of my account. To cut a long story short I was having terrible trouble with my cable going offline even when several technicians came and went. This went on for months.
Because I was having ongoing issues Telstra suggested I add data to my iphone, they would bill me but then credit me for this usage. I am still being charged EVEN AFTER REQUESTING THEY REMOVE THE DATA, this was after a lengthy call a few months back.
I am enclosing a cheque for 50% of this bill as a measure of good faith on my behalf as I simply do not have the time nor the inclination to speak to someone from overseas and repeat everything AGAIN that I have already spoken about several times.
When someone with knowledge about these issues I have been having has the time to call me or write to me with a correct balance I will stop writing in CAPS lol 🙂

I'm still with Telstra and from time to time I get "courtesy" follow up phone calls

As Am and I suggested, contact the Telecommunication Industry Ombudsman.

I used the 24/7 chat last week, worked a treat.
Try that Donna, you will come back with a smile on your dial If that doesn't work, use the TIO they sort them out quick smart.

You can put in an online complaint with the TIO, takes less time than writing a letter. You get to state what outcome you want.
No one will be interested in your letter. Before contacting an Ombudsman you have to contact the provider and give them a chance to rectify any mistakes they have made, you have done that, so next step is get the TIO in who will contact Telstra on your behalf... The TIO speak to people that can make things happen.. not the trained monkeys on the end of the customer service lines.
I don't think telco's sit up and take any notice of customer complaints until the customer mentions I will go to the TIO if this isn't fixed.

Go straight to the complaints section, they are really helpful.
