Yeah same here. But I'm always running around at the last minute so I'm used to it.

I've got 4 more birthdays to get through yet.. the last one is Mum's on the 21st. Dec. we always try to do something a bit special for her because she told us that when she was a kid,, her birthday and Christmas were combined, which she hated

I can identify with that Debra. My mother's birthday was the 14th December and my 2 granddaughters have birthdays in January.
I have always been conscious of buying gifts for each occasion.
My daughters have always been conscious of separate celebrations.....they both have birthdays in May, as did my father and grandmother. Dad and my grandmother were happy enough to combine their celebrations as their birthdays were the 23rd and 25th but we always made a fuss of the girls on their special days...1st and 20th.

it's good that you've always kept them seperate Lyndal,. the only problem is trying to think of two presents to buy them at the same time, but we always get there

Birthdays and Christmas!
Hubby's birthday is 22nd and he also hated a combined present when he was a kid.
Twin grandaughters' birthday is Boxing Day. And because we celebrate Christmas
on Christmas Eve, they are always happy they get three days in a row of presents.

My daughter (30 this year) is 24th Dec and my son will be 22 on Jan 9th.
Saving grace for them was being close to Xmas and the parties, coz thier actual birthday parties were pretty slim pickings, both in school hols when family's would be away
edited to say: I have never done the combined for them either, exept my son's 21st which he spent in Bali (spending money was the gift for both Xmas and Birthday last year for him - and given the exchange in money I looked really generous LOL)
