Re: Jabbed SBS

and I repeat I have never read Wakefields reports. So much is out there if you really are interested.

How can you be truly interested in the subject if you haven't read about this??

All (ALL!!!) of the lies and propaganda on the link between vaccine and autism started life with this man. Everything "out there" is still referenced back to his so called studies. There is nothing else "out there".

So all your talk of "being informed" and that others have "blinkers" on is completely meaningless isn't it?

Unless you can show me what credited reports you have found that prove me wrong?

Re: Jabbed SBS

You started the thread twinkles, as monman would say 'research'

No point in making the claims and expect others to  find your knowledge for you.

I don't even know what you are talking about.

Re: Jabbed SBS

Wakefield.

The charges included that he: "Was being paid to conduct the study by solicitors representing parents who believed their children had been harmed by MMR".

]Ordered investigations "without the requisite paediatric qualifications" including colonoscopies, colon biopsies and lumbar punctures ("spinal taps") on his research subjects without the approval of his department's ethics board and contrary to the children's clinical interests, when these diagnostic tests were not indicated by the children's symptoms or medical history.

"Act[ed] 'dishonestly and irresponsibly' in failing to disclose ... how patients were recruited for the study".

Conduct[ed] the study on a basis which was not approved by the hospital's ethics committee.

Purchased blood samples—for £5 each—from children present at his son's birthday party, which Wakefield joked about in a later presentation

Wakefield denied the charges; on 28 January 2010, the GMC ruled against Wakefield on all issues, stating that he had "failed in his duties as a responsible consultant" acted against the interests of his patients and "dishonestly and irresponsibly" in his controversial research.

On 24 May 2010 he was struck off the United Kingdom medical register.

Re: Jabbed SBS

The problem I have with not vaccinating is that viruses start mutating and develop into new strains that aren't covered by the original immunisation. If this is allowed to happen then we end up with pandemics of the past and no defences for them.

The virus gets up and running again as a mutated form of the original. That's why vaccinated people are put at risk.

Mutations are similar to the problems we now have with superbugs.....over use of ABs has caused bacteria to mutate and become resistant to most of our known anti biotics.

Thanks for that. Made it clear to understand what happens.

Re: Jabbed SBS

huh? own admission? really she ele.....you need to read more carefully? my children were vaccinated minus the whooping cough due to a severe reaction where I thought my son may die. pro choice does not mean oneis anti vaccination *sigh*

Nowhere in this thread (unless the post has been deleted) have you said that any of your children had a severe reaction to the vaccine. You said they were immune to the disease:

"vaccinating does not mean you wont catch a nasty illness....nor does it mean you are immune. Why vaccinate if you are already immune to certain illness? None of.mine were vaccinated whooping cough.....none have ver shown signs of having it except the youngest when the Yarra Ranges was rife with it. A swab and blood test showed immunity. I am not anti vaccine but am pro choice."

How did they all - apart from the youngest - acquire this immunity? Has it occurred to you that they may well have been exposed to whooping cough but had it so mildly that it was not diagnosed. I know this can happen because I also am immune to whooping cough. I a immune because I had it as a child - back in the days before immunisation - but it manifested only as a vague tickle in my throat that would not have been picked up if my siblings had not all had it more severely at the same time.

And I'll ask again: if even 25% of parents chose not to immunise their children, what effect do you think that might have on the child mortality rate in Australia?.
