At the base of Mount Fuji, the forest - Aokigahara, witnesses 100 Japanese suicides a year - sad, isn't it?

Around 50 suicides a year at The Gap, Sydney.
Didn't know that, then again I don't go looking for things like that either.
Warped sense of humour Moorna.

The Gap is not just an eastern suburbs issue, it is the hottest suicide spot in Australia.
Sydney is actually in Australia, my OP refers to Japan, which is another country.

I have only returned from Japan. today. My youngest son lives there.
Whilst waiting for many trains it was not uncommon for delays due to "Human Damage" as it is announced on the boards.
The family of the deceased have to pay the individual Railway companies a certain amount of money. I know for the JR Line it is 100,000 Yen.
