Jordan bombs but no outrage

Jordan continues their revenge on ISIS carrying out airstrikes against the terror group

JORDANIAN fighter jets have carried out new air strikes against Islamic State, the military said overnight, a day after the country’s king vowed to wage a “harsh” war against Islamic State militants who control parts of neighboring Syria and Iraq.

Earlier, the Jordanian air force carried out air strikes against targets in Mosul, killing 55 including a top IS commander known as the ‘Prince of Nineveh’, Iraqi media reported as well as the International Business Times.

Who can blame the Jordanians for their collective pique. One Jordanian pilot is immolated and the Jordanian response is swift, brutal and perhaps disproportionate when measured against the soi-disant Professionally Outraged Group’s (POG) “disproportionate use of force meter”. A lot of Ebay community members will be familiar with the POG ‘meter’. When Israel unleashes a brutal assault on Palestinians the outrage meter reads in the very high band. However it is interesting to note that the concordant ululations and clamour that follow the disproportionate use of force exercised by Israel is absent when the death of one Jordanian is followed by the bombing of ISIS killing 55 members. Any ISIS women and children killed? Why no screams or howls from the sophomania set? Where are those rock-ribbed ‘progressives’ and their confected bathetic outrage? Why hasn’t Ban Ki-moon been wheeled out to ask Jordan to show restraint?

Ban Ki-moon, phone your office.

Just in case those Israel headlines exist at the luminal recesses of the mind here’s a reminder:

David Cameron warns Israel over Gaza after pressure from Ed Miliband

Israel used disproportionate force in Gaza, says UN humanitarian chief

Turkish President Gül warns Israel against Gaza ground operation

Israel’s war of disproportionate force in Gaza

Once again; Ban Ki-moon phone your office.

Do you own shares in Boeing. Have to go back many years to undo the mistakes made in the middle east. Afghanistan destroyed the Soviet empire. America has only succeed in increasing its national debt and the global financial crises quite possibly wouldn't have happened if so many countries hadn't poured so much.money into a bottomless pit that is war against a religion. If you are nit going to kill every believer of the religion that you despise you will never solve the problem. Fact is its either us or them and until either one or none exist this cycle is doomed to repeat itself until mankind exists no more

There is no outrage about fighting against ISIS because what ISIS is doing to the population of Iraq and Syria.  Because ISIS are bunch of barbaric terrorists who behead, rape and destroy.

That would sum it up well.

It would be about the same as being out raged with the pest exterminator for killing cockroaches

My question is:

Why hasn't the whole of western democracy mobilised to exterminate ISIS? why is it left to just a few? and where is Obama on this?.

This is the greatest threat to the civilised  world we have ever seen and Obama can't be bothered and the rest just make excuses.

It's affected many countries, acts of terror and murder are being perpetrated but what's the big picture? what's the plan? why hasn't the rest of the world mobilised to exterminate these monsters?

The only misguided president regarding Iraq was/is obama.  He's the one who removed all military support from the region.  No other intelligent or logical president who have made such a blunder.

That's what is amiss with Iraq today, and also Afghanistan.  Dumb leadership.  Period.

Or maybe Obama was simply the first president in a long time with the intelligence to realise that creating a domestic economy where the average factory worker did not have to rely on foodstamps to feed his/her family, was a more sensible option than squandering trillions of dollars on gung-ho, look-at-me-I'm-a-superpower  wars that have so far turned out to be unwinnable.

Putting Obama and intelligence together in the same sentence is an oxymoron IMO

because all the do gooders go on about it being a religious war and an attack on Muslims, they have to wait until a reaction occurs as has happened in Jordan before they can do any thing so until the whole world is out raged enough and just want to see them eradicated not a lot can be done.

So if women and children are torn to shreds by bombing it's abhorent UNLESS they are ISIS women and children?

Nobody has an appetite for another war.  Americans spent over decade & $ trillions fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan, lost thousands of men, and look at that region now.

My turn to be a professional idiot. America, GW Bush and Dick Cheney had nothing to do with what happened in Iraq.

Not that I want to start a conspiracy theory but,  what if .....

ISIL are not really doing the things they are credited with? What if the videos are all all fake? Or what if it's not ISIL at all that's doing the atrocities? What if it's the CIA trying to stir up the arab world against each other?
